Lavos Beckons

One of relatively few pieces of artwork that are simply extrapolated from existing images rather than referenced as closely as possible. In other words, art was referenced for various and sundry DETAILS, but the scene itself is an original concept. Zeal, consumed by her obsession with Lavos' power, confronts the Prophet, revealed to be Magus (the Queen's son, unbenknownst to her), while Zeal's daughter and Magus' sister, Schala, collapses into remorse. In effect, it is a perfectly vicious family reunion, with only one party aware of it, all bound inextricably to a fate of power lust, vengeance, and sorrow that threatens to repeat itself. And there is Lavos, the apex of it all, the spacial scourger, remorseless beast of instinct alone, waiting merely to consume those that remain.
