Auron - This is for the Fallen

Alright, one or two new techniques were used this time around, most notably the "layering" of pencil shades (i.e. shading over an entire section in its lightest color, blending it, and adding darker shades over top, then blending the entire area, this as opposed to simply assigning each area its own approximate darkness and blending everything as a group as a final task -- rather crude method, I have come to think), and the minor use of a double-sided shading stub. It all came off rather well, methinks, and this rendition of "Final Fantasy X"'s most intriguing and stylish character is probably the SMOOTHEST-looking piece I have put to DA thus far. Merely an instinct as far as choosing to undertake the project itself, and the occasional (sometimes repeated and quite prolonged ) listening to Nobuo Uematsu's "Auron's Theme" helped things along quite nicely.
